   Lately I've been thinking about the idea of a 'retro-net' reservation - sort of a recreation of the old internet designed to be read and accessed by period computers and software.
   
   This means IPv4, no encryption, and the rest of the stuff we've since learned was a mistake, all isolated in a VPN on the 'real' internet.
   
   It'll host old Web 1.0 style websites, FTP, MSN (via Escargot) and those kind of services reachable over Netscape and whatever else you've got running on a 486 and Amiga.
   
   Clearly not for use for anything sensitive - it's just for fun, education and exploration of days gone by.

     @Polychrome That's something I've been thinking about as well :D
     In theory, it should be doable if you setup a bunch of gateways for ye olde computers (something like RasPi) that connects to big WireGuard network.
