Certainly against regulations, but hard to blame this British commando brigadier, fresh from liberating Belsen & seeing more dead camp prisoners in the streets around him, from losing his temper with a surrendering top Nazi and beating the hell out of him
(also, you never, ever want to get on the wrong side of a Commando)

  @FlashMobOfOne He broke the Nazi bastard's own baton over his head, that's just such a delicious image!
  Besides, he got off light - some of the American GIs who liberated the camps were so horrified and incensed they shot the SS guards out of hand, so a thrashing was fairly light.
