I've been in tech for 20 years at this point and i've been seriously considering getting out of it as a career field. I do not like the direction it's going in, I think things are going in a drastically anti-human, anti-worker direction. I hate working for these people. It's hard not to roll my eyes everytime they tell me AI will be my co-pilot or flippantly say that there will be disruption.

People who haven't been in the field as long don't understand how burnout triggers can simmer and grow for years and years.
The crazy number of sprints, retros, and refinements along with lean departments and the attempt to boil coding down to a "plug and play" assembly has made things unbearable from my end lately as well.
My thoughts are with you.
