   Another comment claiming that people are lying about bad movie theater experiences.

   In the last year or so I have noticed incredibly grating responses in social media and youtube like this. Obviously there have always been dumbasses but somehow these are worse. aggressively calling you a liar because they didn't have your experience.

     @sun @ademan other people are why I don't go to the theater anymore. Used to go weekly, no joke. First year I was dating my wife we went to 52 movies

     @why I don't actually know if shitty audiences are a significant factor in movie theater decline but I have had it myself and it appears that other people frequently have it. I think what they are missing is: if you see maybe 25 good showings but have two bad showings in a row, that's enough to make people not want to ever go back and stop being a customer completely. Not like, 50% threshold, just one or two times might be enough.

     @sun i think the social attitude of the terminally online trends towards misanthropy, resulting in negative bias for "wah theatre etiquette is bad" and contrarian "wah youre making stuff up"
