   I just had to explain what a 22 bit subnet is to a developer instead of sleeping. My opinion of programmers was already low, but now I think y'all shouldn't be allowed to have human rights.

     If I ever make a company and I'm in the unprecarious position of having to hire programmers instead of writing my own shit. In the interview I'm giving you a piece of paper and asking you to subnet. If you can't count binary, you can't program binary.

     @splitshockvirus @newt reading abt how many programmers used to be cross-disciplinary engineers and scientists in the days of the ARPANET esp at BBN makes me think we should just not allow people to spec into specifically programming until they do some other engineering or mathematics or some shit
