     @Wyatt @graf From reading that, it seems like writeable media would be more vulnerable since it has a thinner protective layer over the aluminum to allow laser penetration and the Chinese QC issues.

     @BowsacNoodle you've never seen holes in your CDs before? I used to see them all the time several years after. I always bought the shitty chink 100-cd and dvd spindles tho

     @BowsacNoodle @graf I was very glad I made 2x copies of all my old DVD-Data (7-GB ea) backups, when I had to restore from that old set. There were cases where some files on a disc had become unreadable.
