   @DodoTheDev that's because people have hate for a tool. it's really weird. The AI vitriol reminds me of the views towards Photoshop in the past...we all see how that's turned out, right? Millions of people now use Photoshop every single day.

   One day people will just use it and they won't even remember how nasty they're being...🤦♂️

     Wow, I haven't been on the bird site since I joined Masto, but it's interesting to see the contrast in reaction to a WWDC:

     On the bird site, it was all excitement, astonishment and joy. There were a _few_ angry posts, and the odd Windows person not understanding anything, but the general mood was positive.

     Contrast that to Mastodon, and it's the complete opposite. A lot of distrust, disappointment and most people saying "go to Linux".

     Yes, there is a lot of hate. I don't inherently hate AI, but I do dislike the hype round something being _called_ AI.

     My son is a university studying AI and the stuff he does sounds awesome! But the stuff that is being forced fed on everyone is painful. I'm sure it will, one day, become useful, but that's a long way off.

     Absolutely. But most "non-tech" people don't know this. They think AI is like Jarvis/Friday from Ironman and therefore believe that a pregnant woman *should* smoke 2 cigarettes a day.
