I think I have no idea how #mastodon works. I have a list with posts from some people. It currently has (/me checks...) 6 posts. However when I go to the profiles of the users whose posts should go in there, I see way more. Does anyone know what might be wrong and how to actually get all posts into the list?
@graywolf when you "go to their profile", are you counting their boosts and replies? Those don't show up in lists. Also, if you're going to their instance vs the version of their account on your instance, you'll see posts from before anyone on your instance followed them, as most Fedi software doesn't backfill.
@BeAware Thanks for the reply. Actually only posts present on the list are (some) boosts by one of the people on the list. These accounts I have on the list pretty much just boost posts of others.
When I say "go to their profile", I mean viewing it via my instance.
So I am afraid I still do not understand, I would expect to see in the list either all boost or no boosts, but seeing just some feels inconsistent.
@graywolf yeah, that also makes no sense to me. I boosted your post in case someone with a bit more understanding can help. I thought my assessment was accurate. There's so many nuances to Fedi, I can never be sure anymore.
