   *How one can get the helm of hiding *

   If you want to make a helm of hiding, then get a hen's egg, and pour blood from under your big toe on your left foot onto it. Then the egg goes back under the bird, and let it sit upon it. Afterward, take the chick and bum it on oak-wood. Then put the burned chick in a linen sack and wear it on your head.

     @gdeyke there are a lot of extremely persnickety instructions in most of these.

     The other version of the helm of hiding (in which the dog dies) is far more nitpicky.

     @HauntedOwlbear Sometimes I wonder if the idea here is that no one will go to the effort of trying these things out to verify whether they work. I am thinking of necropants in particular here.
