   @matt Tangential but I know someone who recently created an account to use marketplace. Almost immediately it suggested she friend members of her estranged family who live in another country.

     Well, if you answered "People on Facebook who are not yet your friend but Facebook thinks you want to add as a friend" then you would be correct.

     I don't use #Facebook often but do have an account there. You sign in to the homepage feed. The main navigation down the left is:

     1) Your Profile
     2) Friends
     3) Memories
     4) Saved
     5) Groups
     etc. etc.

     What do you expect to see when you click #2, "Friends"?
