     @fsf there is an ongoing (large!) case about this in Denmark. Basically all the municipalities in Denmark have chosen Chromebooks for their primary school students because it was the cheapest option and the government refuses to give them a budget which could actually handle studiouri use of computers during teaching.

     @Laust @fsf We had some discussions in the Netherlands with schools were we pointed out the case in Helsingør and the ban on #chromebooks and #Google. To be unpleasantly surprised that the school found newer news that the ban was temporary lifted:"see, Google fixed all problems, they aren't evil, we can just continue, we don't need to know anything about how our computers work, and we don't care anyway".

     A source that tracks the Danmark vs Google case would be most welcome.

     @CEDO @fsf the last status was that the municipalities were told to get their act together and stop using Chromebooks. The municipalities then demanded an extension to the "ruling" to have time to find an alternative or (more likely) try to get their current practice made legal. This after having been warned for several years that at best they were skirting the law.

     @CEDO @fsf no, unfortunately no one really keeps track of it publicly, it just occasionally pops up in IT-oriented media (and only in Danish as far as I am aware).
