I learned how to grow my own vegetables during the pandemic. Have been reaping a good harvest since 💃

@LifeTimeCooking it's best with sambal (a type of chilli paste) but a lot times I just stir fry them 😆

@liztai Oh yes, I know of them. Do you have favourite ways of using them?

@kateiacy You can also cultivate them by cutting the stems and soaking it in water. Wait for the roots to grow and wala, in the soil it goes.

@thepoliticalcat I could never successfully grow tomatoes for some reason lol. But lettuce, yes. Always good to have a pot!

@liztai Aiyo, can invite oneself over to pick or not?

/JK, I got a thousand tomatoes quietly growing in my barrels, the smallest one barely have ONE set of true leaves, and I'm already making plans to lay some foliar spray of kelp on them. There's a whole hillside of arugula and another one of miner's lettuce.

@LifeTimeCooking They're pretty easy to cultivate! Just cut the stems, soak in water, wait for roots to appear and plant. But they're very water hungry, so be sure to constantly water them.

@liztai Yum! I have a few recipes for it, now that I look, including Indian and Sri Lankan. I think I can get it at my local Asian/Vietnamese grocery. I'll be interested to make something.

@LifeTimeCooking that is actually a good idea. I use a clay pot irrigation system https://youtu.be/0MDQsydIGlg?si=uO4oPFSt034W6KrS

@liztai It is hard to grow water-hungry plants here, although I have been considering getting a huge pot without drainage, and using that as a place to grow some things like brahmi which thrives with lots of water. I will consider further.
