@sun Recently been recommended some videos on YT about someone remaking all of Super Mario 64 on the GBA. It's not very far along, but still, it's crazy what people will do.
@sun I'm not very familiar with GBA programming, I've programmed a DS game, which I was told the 2D mode acted quite a bit like a GBA, though I'm not sure how true that is. But I only did pretty basic stuff with it.
I'll have to watch the video you shared about it, but my first impression is that the throughput of updating it before a redraw would be tough to manage on a GBA. But if that's what they're using, I guess they found a way.
@BitBun I am not sure if the source code ever got released for the Quake port. I'd love to see it. Not that I could probably understand very high performance 100% ARM assembly code
@sun Yeah when we get into ASM that's where I start to struggle to find interest in reading the code. Even some tricky highly-optimized C code starts to get a bit uncomfortable to me. But you can really do some hellish things in C.
first of all there was one video where he WITH A STRAIGHT FACE shilled for Raid Shadow Legends and everyone knows it all was a fucking lie but he did it AS IF it was THE best thing ever, which in my opinion put in massive jeopardy everything he ever says. Like, this dude can lie to camera with a straight face so well, anything that he says to camera might be lies :todd:
Second of all there was a video that was fucking peak cringe - he was trying to... i don't even fucking know.... i guess deliver a point that "console wars" is bullshit and that from "developer standpoint" he wants to "take advantage" of "what console has to offer", in the meanwhile virtually all the points he was TRYING to make, even at the time, were easily debunked by sheer mention of "PC". Further more, somewhat minor but still a "death by a thousand cuts" on his videos really reveal that he is a corporate shill that is willing to suck Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo dick, oh i'm sorry, did i say "suck" i meant "DEEPTHROAT" their dicks all at the same time.
