So, was the Israeli ceasefire proposal submitted by Israel, or not? I'm confused by the process here.

@javi so, here's what NPR says:
'President Biden is calling for an end to the war in Gaza.
He announced at the White House on Friday that Israel has offered a “comprehensive new proposal” that offers a “roadmap to an enduring cease-fire and the release of all hostages.”'
That really sounds like it originated with Israel.

Oh the news here called it the Biden peace plan, and for what it looks, Hamas was willing to accept it and Israel rejected it entirely.
Somehow I'm sure the US will spin this failure to be Hamas' fault
@javi here's the text of his speech:
'This is truly a decisive moment. Israel has made their proposal. Hamas says it wants a ceasefire. This deal is an opportunity to prove whether they really mean it.
Hamas needs to take the deal.'
@Jonathanglick Yair Lapid of the centrist Yesh Atid party has said they'd back Netanyahu if the ultra right leaves because of the deal:
@evan I don’t understand how there can be a ceasefire because that would end Netanyahu’s coalition.
