   I thought about this after listening to an NPR story about the importance of Mexican citizens living abroad in this year's elections.

   As a dual citizen, I am glad that I have a vote in both Canada and the US.

   So, I'm strong yes.

     @tehstu My feeling is that overseas voters have a unique perspective, having direct experience of different economic and political systems than in the homeland. It would be a big mistake to lose that valuable perspective.

     @evan imagine spending the time to legislate against people abroad voting, given they're almost certainly a fraction of the number of domestic folks who *don't* vote. Invest that energy in making it easier for everyone to vote.

     I'm glad they UK recently overturned the law that said I couldn't vote after 15 years abroad.
