@TrevorGoodchild Is such ingenuity and mastery of craftsmanship particular to the White genome? I have never seen any cabinet open that way - it is genius and extraordinarily clever. And there is not a profit motive here. I doubt that craftsman will ever see a monetary return to match the level of work here. It's a love of the craft and a demonstration of his ability that most likely drove his inventiveness. I'm just wondering, because non-Whites use the term "Whiteness" to smear us, but there are behavioral and genomic aspects of "Whiteness" (like the SR-71) that are inventive and masterful and positive and seem to be most heavily expressed in Whites. We should be emphasizing these things as a counterpoint to their slander.

@WhiteAmericanEskimo @TrevorGoodchild The Japanese also have this love for fanciful woodworking and general elegant design. Maybe that's why Hitler called them honorary? They have a whole traditional carpentry scene around not using nails or hardware for things which move.

@Forgetful_Gynn @WhiteAmericanEskimo @TrevorGoodchild I think that is pretty, but it has a sort of Tikkun Olam vibe.

        Kintsugi
Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery"), also known as kintsukuroi (金繕い, "golden repair"), is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum; the method is similar to the maki-e technique. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise. Origin Lacquerware is a longstanding tradition in Japan and, at some point, kintsugi may have been combined with maki-e as a replacement for other ceramic repair techniques. While the process is...
