   @Wen @russellt Hmm. Although, I did have an entertaining journey once with a lassy going on about a lovely first date, to her pal. The whole carriage was silent because we were all lugging in. Hopefully she's married the chap by now because he sounded lovely. 🤣

     When I was a teenager, we used to laugh an old folk who roared down the phone. Now I'm heading towards being an old person, and I'm completely bemused by the number of folk holding their phones at arms length and shouting their conversations in the street. Why have your phone on speaker in public places? I don't get it. Hold the damned thing to your ear and shoosht.

     @Wen @russellt and in restaurants. Shouting to be heard over music. Banal chat about nothing, at top volume. Totally oblivious to the rest of the world. When did this become normal?
