     @Transportist @BeAware Building on top of an open protocol doesn’t give you a product you can sell. Simple as that

     @doktorzjivago @BeAware not sure that’s true. Lots of products are built on open protocols and sold. Truth Social to name one close to home. (Obviously lots of other issues there, but it’s publicly traded and built on Mastodon. Lack of interoperability is a choice).

     @doktorzjivago the best part is the fact that they actually could at least pay lip-service to decentralization but they don't bother, just bridges and self-hosting a tiny piece of it 🫠
