   @FlashMobOfOne there is usually a selector, e.g. if you use GNOME, on settings -> audio. The output usually can be switched to HDMI.

     @FlashMobOfOne that could be a bunch of things. I assume you're connecting the TV through hdmi, so it could be the audio drivers or just the UI (bug or the option is somewhere else). What distro and desktop environment are you using?
