     @thefinn It isn't just about age. It's also about the authoritative position the teacher holds. It's about the teacher (an adult in a position of power) grooming the child to lie. There's so much psychological damage that can be done. People think it's okay because the teacher is female and the victim is male.
     This is a completely destructive situation.
     This should never be a teenagers first experience.

     @thefinn I don't think it's good for a teenage boy to enter into such a mature relationship.
     Even worse if he fathers a child or contracts a disease or is dragged through the media. If it were my child ...she would be permanently disabled.

     I mean, would you be happy if he was boning a married cougar? or some random widowed grandmother? because those teachers are usually married, and the age difference makes them basically cougar-equivalent

     If he enters into a clandestine relationship with an adult woman who has authority over him and is most likely emotionally manipulating him to fulfill her own emotional needs this would be detrimental to his development into manhood.
     Schools are the most important micro environmental system for children outside of their own families and adolescence is the optimal period for the formation and development of mental health problems.
     Maybe... definitely, only White straight men should teach boys and only White straight women should teach girls

     But, so many young men lack any male influence in their lives, and often what they do have are the men their mothers are riding at the moment on their own cock carousel who could care less about him.

     @thefinn @VaxxSabbath @Aly You're right about American sensibilities in that regard; 18 is ridiculous, but it's not as simple as a consent age, because you can't just walk away from your teacher if the thing goes sour, you have to see her every day in class and get graded by her.
     
     My first real girlfriend was fifteen, a year younger than me, and we fucked all the time. When she started seeing someone else and I had to find out from her helpful girlfriend, I was crushed, and very glad we didn't attend the same school.
