   Just had a rather funny moment at work:
   
   A coworker - who's not a German native speaker - was working on some invoices. They sent me a screenshot of the invoice header that said: "Zahlungsart: Nachnahme". They thought, something was wrong - why would the payment type be "last name"? Well...
   
   "Nachname" - last name
   "Nachnahme" - cash on delivery
   (Both are pronounced the same btw.)
   
   German truly is a weird language. 😅

     As a learner, I sometimes chuckle on how "du hast" and "er ist"* sound the same as "du hasst" and "er isst"* 🙂

     @teto@cawfee.club @lain@lain.com It might be a dialect thing. I wasn't sure myself when I posted that but according to wiktionary their IPA text is basically the same.
