If we're talking about seminal French videogames, I'd like to chip in with Muriel Tramis' Méwilo.
There was an attempt at a remake in 2018, but it fizzled due to non-existent promotion of the crowdfunding.

@retrohistories Eric Chahi's Le Pacte is a good one, it was his adventure game right before Another World. Despite the author's notoriety, that game remains in French only and only released on CPC. So... yeah. But I did play it on Twitch recently and it was pretty interesting.
Armed & Delirious (aka Dementia) is also a pretty good example in that it is a ... uh unique adventure game but it would be almost impossible to re-release it today.
What are some noteworthy videogames with zero chance of ever seeing a commercial re-release?
(Whether because of obscurity, rights issues, legal entanglements, or any other reason.)
