Another train / bike journey today. Getting the hang of it. I am expecting to get soaked at the other end, but at least I won't have the dreaded search for car parking followed by the even more dreaded parking meter dramas. By bringing my bike I won't need to work out the bus system in a different city or have the irritation of hanging around for ages waiting for one to arrive. It won't suit everyone, but I'm finding that it does suit me. #trains #BikeTooter #NotForEveryoneButWorksForMe

@LinuxAndYarn im not sure my experience would be universal. I'm travelling on relatively quiet trains from Aberdeen to the Central belt of Scotland. There are some seats with actual tables, but most would be airline style with a little drop-down tables on the seat in front. There seem to be six bike spaces on the train and you need to book in advance.

@CloudyMrs I love that you have tables in your bike cars. American commuter trains tend to have slightly more leg room than airliners.

@EclecticHuman A shame. I'm pretty new to using this mode of transport but I have to say that I now prefer it to driving.

@CloudyMrs What a great way to travel! I wish it were an option for me! Sadly trains no longer run here on Vancouver Island. And intercity bus service is sporadic at best.
