     @icedquinn@blob.cat tricks nobody tells you: use a regular TRS cable to connect the "SPDIF" ports on your sound card and your home stereo together. and it will just magically work, no analog line between source and amp 😌

     @purple i bought these tiny little encoder and decoder boxes to convert analogue to spdif over coaxial but i've yet to use them :blobcatdunno:
     
     i've been told there are a couple of pro audio machines that use optical but they're very above my paygrade
