@eclectech Ah ok. Honestly I don't remember if there were rules like this. I just blew them around a lot and liked to put cuttings of the stems into a glass of water to watch them building spirals.
@morph You would blow on it, and the number of times it took to blow away all the seeds was the time!
I fear it was not a hugely reliable method of timekeeping.
@eclectech Not every dandelion variety works well a clock I'd guess. So that might be the reason why the fact is unknown in some regions.
@morph I'm wondering if it's very geographically targeted. I'm glad in the original post I edited my original "blow on a dandelion clock" to seed head, as I would definitely have made even less sense than normal to quite a few people.
@eclectech It's a good excuse for being late.
@morph That's an interesting point, if some varieties are easier to disperse it would always be 1 o'clock, and what use is that?!
