@puniko@mk.absturztau.be If I had to guess, it's because we're "taught" that we were made in God's image, so he must be the good guy. Satan is a demon, so he must be the bad guy.
Growing up, I just figured Satan would be more fun to hang out with, though.
like its been a long damn while since i last read the bible and i can't recall any place in it, where satan actually did something really bad. but maybe i forgot
@puniko he said "no", got punished with rejection and ex-communication and now he's overflowing with anger and animosity for being abandoned and he's supposedly taking it out on us, god's favorite creation / plaything.
So less evil, more misplaced outlet for anger and resentment.
@Polychrome@poly.cybre.city :neocat_think_googly_woozy: i mean, that could also just be an antagonizing description by god and in truth satan doesn't care at all about "being abandonded" and just enjoys freedom
@puniko@mk.absturztau.be It's also been a really long time for me as well. All I can recall is that this whole thing started out as a beef on how to run the divine heavens and Satan was like nah, I'll make my own. With blackjack and hookers!
@pmj@social.pmj.rocks something out there bigger than us:neocat_think_googly_woozy: i mean a lot of things are bigger than us. like a car, or a mountain, or a planet, or the universe.
joking aside tho, thats fine if you believe in that way. hecc its even fine if you believe in a diety. only thing i don't like is when people start to force their believes onto me, because i don't do that either.
btw: i like the 10 commandments and the 7 deadly sins though i think they are a good guidance to a decent and healthy life if you don't take them literally or apply them too restrictive
