What do you think is the best way for searching for hentai? I have been thinking that Japanese sites are the best, because they have tags that the western sites don't have like: (ラブラブ・あまあま) Lovey-dovey, イチャラブ(making out and being lovey-dovey), 恋人同士(pair of lovers), 純愛(pure love), イラマチオ(face-fucking). And also, because the tags are just more accurate than western sites. I don't understand why western sites don't like having more precise tags compared to the Japanese sites.
I don't like Japanese store sites (Melonbooks, dlsite, etc.), because of all of them having exclusives, which is annoying because I don't have one place to look for everything. So Pixiv seems like the best option, because most artists use it and just because Japanese sites have more precise tags. But I've already heard about bad stuff about Pixiv, so I've been reluctant to use it. I think Nico Nico Douga also has an art site, but I don't know anything about that one.
@Burn Pixiv has been swinging their banhammer quite actively since they've put up a COCk last summer. Also, I don't know the best way for searching for perverted people (which is what "hentai" means).
@ryo I already know that. Obviously, I'm using the western definition of hentai. Looks like Gelbooru, Exhentai, and hitomi.la are the best things we got.
@Burn@ryo One thing to keep in mind is that in Japan, you can actually go to jail for pirating Japanese stuff, and it's also easier not to pirate. So, I assume the best websites tend to be western. I don't know if most scans are posted directly on western websites, but it seems likely to me. Though I have seen a Japanese website that had scans of a few books and magazines, so those still existed. Probably not hosted in Japan, though, and it wasn't a massive collection of everything like some western websites are. Just what the people running the website happened to scan, and then it probably just spread from there.
@TerminalAutism@Burn The artificial "laws" say you will go to jail for piracy yes, how most of these so-called "laws" is that it's strict on paper, but barely actually enforced, unless either you're already on their hit list, or you're part of the controlled opposition and they'll just stage an "arrest" on TV to set an example.
@fuggy@Burn Well, loli frog is building an alternative platform for that which supports donations in Monero instead of fiat (so it's more resistant against financial censorship, and at the same time doesn't need to create some scammy token that can only be used on that 1 platform) and ActivityPub federation.
But due to current circumstances which are unknown to me (because she didn't tell me other than the fact that her home servers are under extended maintenance), that project seems to be temporarily on halt.

I saw they did some cringe diversity and inclusion stuff lately, the CEO sexually assaulted some trans person (why? Their fake vagina is not worth it) or something to that effect and they are on PR mode
I didn't know what artist should use in that case, but Danbooru, Gelbooru and R34 are decent, but they all seem to have their own censorship mainly regarding lolicon, but you can just switch sites when needed though
