I'm kinda done with this. 3 days of nonstop headache and not to mention annoying people for help. It was working like 2 hours ago and now it's not. I'm fucking stumped and just annoyed at this point.
@RxBrad I DID change DNS for a subdomain, but that shouldn't be related. I THINK what was happening, is when I did the subdomain, I accidentally turned on Proxy for the main domain, which is not what I wanted. I turned that off and now it seems to work. Can you confirm?
@RxBrad okay. good. Crisis averted, I think.😬 Let's hope the object storage works now and if so, we should be good to go for tomorrow. I was shitting bricks thinking I'd fucked up the SSL cert or something. Damn Cloudflare.
@RxBrad LOL. You remoting into my desktop or something? :kek:
Already had it open. However, I need to test cloud storage with something else first.
Emoji's might be a bit slow, but I'm going to try to download from other servers to make the process easier. There's no "batch upload" unfortunately, it's one by one or download from other servers.🤷♂️
@BeAware Not sure if Sharkey has it too, but I think Firefish would let you upload a zip full of emojis and they all loaded up. You still had to tag & categorize them though.
Ability to yoink some from other servers helps, too.
@RxBrad It's strange. There IS an "import" and "export" options, but they don't specify if I can import using zip files. I'll look into it. Worst case scenario, I'll have to spend a bit of time copying the ones I want from other servers and uploading my own individually. I'll figure it out.
@bob Oh no....that sucks ass! I got the instance working for the most part. I think it was the proxy option on Cloudflare screwing it up because I already have nginx which I think already works as a proxy. So it was infinitely redirecting.
@bob Yeah. I know almost nothing about either of them. Haha.😬 Which is wild because I'm almost sure Mastodon uses nginx as well, but with the way everything is set up here, I've never had to interact with it much at all.
