   I don't like humanity because it has yet to provide a good reason for liking it.

   I'm still waiting.

   But I'd prefer to do my waiting at a safe distance.

     Reason: Because you're human!

     Me: I wish I weren't.

     Reason: Because most people are good?

     Me: That has yet to be confidently demonstrated. Depends on your criteria and people's criteria are usually highly selective.

     Reason: Because not liking humanity makes you antisocial and a bad person!

     Me: Humanity seems pretty bad to me. So, that's an untrustworthy assessment by a questionable source.

     Reason: People won't like you.

     Me: I don't care.
