I've spent most of my childhood and teens with my two cats. I often had this conversation with people:
Them: Cats don't understand us like dogs.
Me: They do, they know their names. They just don't always care to obay.
Them: They don't obay because they don't understand you.
Me: Well, whenever I call one of them by name ether the right cat comes or no cat comes. Never the wrong cat comes.
Me: Oh yeah I can talk all day about astronomy and processing and art and science etc etc
Them: Ok we need a short quote from you.
Me: Well, fuck this, I'm going home
My laptop: Has TPM 2.0
Microsoft: Get Fucked no Win11 for you.
Me: Ahh, OpenSUSE on all my computers then.
Reason: Because you're human!
Me: I wish I weren't.
Reason: Because most people are good?
Me: That has yet to be confidently demonstrated. Depends on your criteria and people's criteria are usually highly selective.
Reason: Because not liking humanity makes you antisocial and a bad person!
Me: Humanity seems pretty bad to me. So, that's an untrustworthy assessment by a questionable source.
Reason: People won't like you.
Me: I don't care.
Dude on street corner with a tablet: Do you care about children?
Me: [leaving the office] No.
Him: You don't care about children??
Me: No.
Him: Wowww. That says alot about you.
Me: Dude, it's Tuesday.
My filter is gone. Even for charity fundraisers.
*Me if I ever met my fictional crush*
Me: Oh nooooo please don't hurt me
Her: Don't worry I'm not going to touch you.
Me: Why nooooooooooot??
