how do you go about finding general information now that helpful websites are filed with human and ai generated garbage?
i'm trying to find out if these cheap sunglasses i got can protect against UV or anything else sun+eye harmful even though they don't seem to be polarized. how do you search for this without getting 1000 websites that are just lists of other bits of general information?

@dantescanline I usually go to specialist review sites, as most of them still commission reasonably knowledgeable humans for this shit (sometimes including me, if I need the cash).
This has some stuff about non-polarised glasses, and Petr is a real person whose buying guides of other things I've found helpful.

like yeah i can read science wiki pages and sorta guess myself, but often the answers are both scientific and practical. like "yes but sunscreen on skin is way more important than eye safety"

@HauntedOwlbear how do you find these sites hahaha! like i only knew a few programming ones where its real people blogging. i guess you gotta look through all the posts on review sites and find ones that seem like actual info and then remember to check them later when you need something
