Why risk anything when the US clearly is a faltering empire fighting proxy wars in two countries and not really winning either one to any great extent. I just can't see the angle for China to do a damn thing other than deals with Russia while we fight internally and likely go to Civil War if not just collapse from fiscal implosion.

  That's the beauty of it. Make bad loans and then you're just a repoman instead of the eternal Anglo using military force.
