   @io One more crucial detail about these dial menus is that they easily allow the options to change, and it's easy to stack them (one radial dial option replaces the current one with a more specific set of options) to provide a hierarchy of contextual actions. They're pretty slick, which is why I think they'll become more prevalent over time.

   If you have more or fewer options at any given time, then you just add more subdivisions. I don't know the details but it's not jarring when they change.

     @urusan @io the reason these are superior is because the motion of navigating the menu is the same from muscle memory or while reading it.
     
     without familiarity, you slowly navigate and read the text. and then slowly you just do the motions. i do not know why we tossed them back in the trash.

     @io Here's an example from Car Mechanic 2021. You point at the thing you want to interact with, press the interaction button and it brings up the circular dial menu with your contextual actions. On a controller you can press your thumbstick in the direction of the option you want and confirm to do the action. It works with the mouse as well, you can nudge it in the right direction slightly before clicking.

     So here we are in the context of a car on an auction lot and we want to examine it first.
