Ah yes, it worked, thank you. In the matrix/element "Add server" dialog after typing lix.systems I got a red warning that no server found. That's a lie.. ignore err msg and just click Add and then Matrix gets an 'Aha Erlebnis' and suddenly sees chatrooms.. 😅
