   the duck that has been sitting on a clutch of eggs next to my woodpile, has left the nest, but there is still a hatching egg in the nest.

     @morph about 10-11 ducklings hatched before the mother left the nest. the duckling in the last egg is almost free. I have been checking on it every hour and whistling some encouragement.
     
     If it doesn't join the rest of the ducklings in the pond, I will be taking care of it.
