@amelia imagine how cool it'd be if someone made a fan that was basically a ring of blades and it'd spin around your barrel in order to give constant airflow to a bunch of super lightweight heatsinks at the rear of the barrel i bet you could get enough good airflow just by capturing the heat differential between the barrel and the handguard i wanna cook some cyberpunk shit up alreadyyyy
@amelia the difference is that you don't need to add a shit ton of weight into the end of the gun or build a bunch of mechanisms to actuate it if you can just use a tiny amount of refrigerant or hell even a stirling engine in a self contained thing you can basically just clamp onto your barrel and i'm pretty sure it'd still provide way more cooling than even the biggest passive heatsink fins you can add to a rifle idk
