Interesting to hear Apple say the quiet AI part out loud a few times during the #AppleEvent keynote. Prior to now the messaging was focused on machine learning.

I don’t know, I tend to think they’ve been •ahead• on the messaging: while other companies fall over each other in a frenzy of hype-addled FOMO to foreground AI in ways that range from useless to actively harmful to customers, Apple has been putting the same tech to work in ways that are less whizbang but genuinely useful. This, more or less: https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2023/06/at-apples-wwdc-keynote-ai-never-came-up-by-name-but-it-was-there/
