     @allison i distinctly remember when movies and media in general stopped using roman numerals when indicating copyright year - incidentally it somewhat correlates with the era where people say media has gone down the gutter :thinking_cirno:

     @cell eh long scale vs short scale basically doesnt matter until billion/milliard and that's basically the upper limit of meaningful numbers for humans. More than that and we switch to SI prefixes.
