@Jonaschuzzlewit @LostShakerOfSalt @Rose @mkultra I've been in a similar situation. Me and some pals were backpacking on a mountain and I took a wizz on a young copperhead. Copperheads are known to be pretty chill, but the babies have no control and will venom dump. It just wanted to bask in this warm spot (right by where we were setup) and enjoy the insects that came out at night, but I was on the ground and didn't find 4 mills of woven fabric to be enough protection, especially since it was probably going to nestle near us for warmth. We yeeted it away with a stick, and all was well. That same area usually has a bunch of these (grass snake) and they're harmless and cute.
