   despite that, i would like it more, if pixelfed dev would implement some better mod tools for pixelfed (reg approvals for example, or bulk mod actions, or something)

     @starshine@woem.space you can close regs, but it not having approvals is the only reason why i have them closed

     @alfredohno@woem.space i mean, sure. its nice to have more options (altho not for me, since i don't really get the appeal of tiktok anyways). but i rather have some well built platforms instead of many poorly built ones (not saying that pixelfed is poorly built, but its just lacking in some essential stuff regarding administration)

     @puniko It;s a little weird but tbf if having a valid alternative to TikTok means less people use it, especially that less people depend on it, then that;s probably a good thing
     Though I really dunno how that would work because platforms like TikTok operate entirely around The Algorithm

     @alfredohno@woem.space oh ye, true. especially with new accounts, it reeeally struggles to federate. it starts to work better over time with existing accounts tho.

     @puniko I mean, I kinda do think PixelFed is poorly built actually, unless it improved a lot recently. I tried to host my artwork there and it was just constant federation problems. And that was on snug.moe, so I really doubt it;s a sysadmin issue
