   @HilliTech@techhub.social I wish all the services were better at not silently suppressing messages from non contacts or other instances. As far as I'm aware, if I mention you on your Pixelfed account you won't see it (let's try it @HilliTech@pxlmo.com .... I looked into this a while back, asked Dansup to fix it, he said he had, and when I tested again months later it was still broken).

     I love the idea that federation allows multiple social medias to intertwine. I'm here on Mastodon, a micro blog platform, and on Pixelfed, an Instagram alternative. Someone is developing a TikTok alternative too, I may join it as well when it is ready.

     Biggest issue I've found is I never know who to follow on these other platforms. Mastodon is obvious since all my tech people are here, but I've no idea who I should be following on Pixelfed. Feels like it would be more fun if my friends were there.
