     @AAKL @TechCrunch @Sarahp There are already certain apps that allow this, like Sora for iOS. That's pretty cool that they'll "officially" allow it though.

     @AAKL @TechCrunch @Sarahp that's probably true, but just because the apps can work together for a bluesky AND mastodon account, doesn't mean they'll connect unfortunately.🤷♂️

     They still looked at Fedi and went "nope" and made their own "federated" platform that connects to literally nothing else and people still think it's the Fediverse for some reason....🤦♂️ I wish they'd just federate and get the whole "figuring out our own walled garden doesn't work" thing out of the way.

     @BeAware @TechCrunch @Sarahp I'm inclined to think Bluesky is more trustworthy than Threads - provided its owner doesn't get hoodwinked to sell (again).

     @BeAware @TechCrunch @Sarahp Yeah, you're right on that second graph. But the motives are different here. Bluesky was born out of Jack Dorsey's fatal mistake - selling Twitter. And Threads was born out of those ashes to take on Musk's X Frankenstein. But I still think federation for Meta is just a tool to en end, not a way of life.
