   Good morning!

   After spouse poked around in the broken electric kettle and was unable to fix it quickly, I’ve ordered a new one. He has some ideas about maybe fixing the old one up, but I gather it’s going to be fiddly.

   In the meantime, I’m going to appreciate my cups of tea even more for having had to remember to set a timer to check whether a pot of water is boiling yet.

     @gannet if the old one can be fixed you'll have a spare one in case of emergencies, which sounds like a good thing anyway!
