     @peterbutler They used to have different pension ages based on gender, but that has been completely phased out as of 2019.

     They do recognise that nonbinary people exist in many circumstances, but insist that this cannot be one's "legal gender".

     I honestly can’t think of a legitimate reason why the government needs to even track gender at all

     @peterbutler My barrister's argued that they would not have to do much, if anything. No identity document I'd ever have in the UK is required to align to legal gender, the system that issues Gender Recognition Certificates already has a "not specified" option, and they already have a law in place that makes all laws gender neutral unless specifically intended otherwise.

     All I need is a ruling and a single piece of paper.
