   Arguing that “violence isn't random but a problem in public health & preventive medicine,” the researchers were blunt:

   “Suicide, homicide, & combined suicide/homicide rates from 1900 to 2010 were found to be associated with an increase under Republican presidents & a decrease under Democratic ones with statistical significance.”

     @brendo @KimPerales I'm in serious fear for my own survival if we have round 2 of Trump. Not because of him, but because of the way so many people acted. His words created a terrible reality

     @KimPerales Correct. The USA became psychologically depressed under Trump. Suicides soared. And we're not over that. We're still recovering from the first Trump term. My blog thoughts at the time:

     @brendo @KimPerales I will be surprised if there isn't fairly widespread violence . I'm honestly expecting problems in many places. hoping to be wrong

     @ATLeagle @KimPerales Indeed. His angriest and most unhinged supporters saw his election as a permission slip to act on their White Nationalist impulses. If he comes back, all that comes roaring back. In fact a lot of it will be on display at polling sites in November.
