Additionally, if anyone happens to be on an instance runnining glitch-soc, there is an option in the settings to ask for confirmation automatically before boosting or posting media without alt text/media description.

  @MichaelPorter@ottawa.place it's somehow notoriously hard to remember to put alt-text. That's why there's a bot for that! Simply follow @PleaseCaption@botsin.space and every time you forget an alt-text, that bot will privately message you. In the beginning it was a bit annoying but by now the bot trained me well.
