they’re called Retroclones. There are retroclones for all kinds of games.
you can’t actually copyright a game system. you can copyright the lore and specific names, but not the system.
you could publish the exact same rule set with the serial numbers filed off and be perfectly safe.

@D-Droid @s2208 if you're serious, I've got a few interesting ideas for factions

@SpurgAnon @s2208 Also make it so we can tie a DnD clone in as a Base for the past just like Warhammer

Warhammer for mass combat
Traveller to get around and do space battles
D&D for the lives of the heroic figures

@SpurgAnon @s2208 I dunno I guess make it a spiritual successor at this point. Make the Fascism saving the human race bit not ironic like how the original gay lib brits made it as satire

A few ideas for a good name, Eternal War(struggle) could be a good call.
>fascism good
>democracy bad
>satirical points being made over how various groups interpret and present NatSoc
>game runs in Generations for what rules and armies are allowed
>gen 1 is a run of various human/AI/cyborgs to start with and basic table top rules
>this to piggyback on WH40k mechanicus/necron popularity
>figs are sold by licensed vendors or directly via file for 3D printing to the customer, who for a paltry fee can then become a vendor (say... 5$)
>real money is in the books which are never allowed to be digital

@SpurgAnon @s2208 alright you seem like a smart business partner to try this with.
The main thing to figure out is ripping off the various factions without being to legally close.
Obviously yeah
Tech/Cyborg faction
Humans (Facist) (Good Guys)
jews(Communists) (Evil-duh)
Sisters of battle faction (we can make them actually attractive though)
Elves(We'll actually keep them and not be gay like 40Gay)
Dwarves(Greed Corruption makes them fall into jew alliance)
Orcs
and lastly Demons

I don’t like fantasy races outside of fantasy
like, why would a hobbit ever go to space?

@D-Droid @SpurgAnon @s2208 Tbh I'm not really into the idea of fantasy races in space. The usual criticism of fantasy is that a lot of them have the same races going back to Tolkien, space is supposed to be an escape and a chance to encounter completely new creatures.
It might be interesting if, unlike 40gay, you actually acknowledge that the fantasy races all come from the same place. Maybe they have a single government or old alliances. It's hard to imagine they would all leave Earth and never work together at any point.
