     @cjd i've never seen anyone drunk in public here and it's illegal too. In a bar or club you'll get as much booze as you want but if you're drunk don't expect to walk around the streets singing, better get a taxi.

     @raucao @cjd you don't the OK of your employer anymore, and a tourist only needs the passport but they don't get the license. Either way, all of this stuff is just a formality, if you can find your way into an alc shop they'll either give you license right there or use your passport.

     @cjd @lain As a tourist, you still need one when buying from the bottle shop, but they create the entry for you when you hand them your passport as a new customer. Also, a friend of mine said he had a friend who was employed in Dubai, and his boss didn't allow him to get the license. Not sure if that's still a thing or not.
