    Most people getting EBT cards do work and they usually work at low paying jobs like Walmart or fast food places, or factory or maintenance jobs.

    But even if they don’t, we should be feeding hungry kids. Republicans all over the country have been rejecting programs like this. Democratic governors create and expand them.

      @ianhecht @mentallyalex @TonyStark

      Kids need to be fed. For the benefit of the hard of thinking, I'll repeat that. Kids need to be fed.

      In any civilised society, one of the key roles of government is to ensure that kids get fed, regardless of who their parents are or what they may have done.

      @mentallyalex @TonyStark Who says to kids that it's their fault their parents don't have enough money to feed them? What a complete lack of empathy. Clearly "compassionate conservatism" is no more.

      @TonyStark absolutely the right move.

      Kids aren't at fault for shitty capitalism. I know they (Repubs) want them working in the factories and actual slaves, but we certainly do not need to make it easy on them.

      Protect our younger generations, give them the tools they need, and set them free on our enemies.
