   How the fuck is The Masters not on 4K? A couple holes on special DirecTV channels doesn’t count.

   Back in the early 2000s, it was one of the first things broadcast in HD. In fact, for a couple years CBS only broadcast 3 of the 4 Sweet Sixteen locations in HD because they didn’t have enough HD camera rigs and had to send one to Augusta early to set up.

     @chopaganda Masters has been in 4K in the past through DirecTV. It’s also been broadcast in 3D and 3D golf is incredible! I guarantee someone in Europe is showing The Masters in 4K.

     @LittleTokyo @chopaganda I wonder if Augusta National has the wiring to do it except for Amen Corner (which is close to the entrance). Those camera towers are the same ones from the 60’s/70’s.

     @AG3rD @chopaganda oh that’s right, DirecTV only has certain holes in 4K. I do know that the cameras used by most broadcasters are 4K at this point either way.
